Der 39-jährige Ryouma Takebayashi lebt allein und fristet sein Dasein als Systemingenieur in einem ausbeuterischen Unternehmen, als sein Leben eines Tages in seiner Wohnung ein abruptes und unzufriedenstellendes Ende nimmt.
